Please be aware of the following statute of limitations
within the state of Texas that may apply to you:

 

  1. You must file a personal injury lawsuit or tort within two (2) years from the date of the accident or injury.
  1. You must file a Longshoreman and Harbor Workers’ accident claim within one (1) year from the date of the accident or injury by filing a blue form LS-203 with the U.S. Department of Labor.
  1. You must file a Jones Act lawsuit within (3) years from the date of the accident or injury.
  1. You must file a Worker’s Compensation claim within one (1) year from the date of the accident claim within one (1) year from the date of the accident or injury by filing a Notice of Injury and Claim for Compensation with the Texas Worker’s Compensation Commission.

 

  1. You must file a contract lawsuit within four (4) years from the date the action arose.
